What do you think are the biggest challenges for professional women today? With the economy and family and jobs and everything else, women are spread too thin.

What is something you wish you could change about your self? Health issues, but you can’t go back.

What is the best business advice you’ve ever received? Do what you know. Do what you love. Go with your strengths.

How would you describe your leadership style? I’m a really good facilitator; I like for other people to do what they do best and I like to give them the space to do that.

Has your career path held surprises along the way? I’m constantly surprised at the feedback I get from the people I work with about the positive results they see. With just a little effort, people can make big changes in their lives.

What do you do to relax? Walk with friends, travel, read.

What is one personal goal you haven’t yet achieved? I would love to go do yoga in Penang.

Who do you consider a career mentor and why? My mother, because she did such a great job of reinventing herself. As circumstances change, women are great at creating new ways of living. Women are great at creating opportunities.

What is your dream job? I would like to create a community center for women-owned businesses where we could share resources and help each other succeed.

What do you hope to be doing in 10 years – personally and professionally? I would love to be doing the same thing that I’m doing right now.
